| An American man has finally come to the end of his highly publicized potato-only diet, which resulted in him losing 21 pounds over two months, UK's Metro reports. Chris Voigt started his diet on Oct. 1 in an attempt to draw attention to the nutritional benefits of eating the vegetable. As executive director of the Washington State Potato Commission, Voigt hopes his efforts will highlight what a good source of fiber, potassium and vitamin C potatoes are. He is believed to have eaten nothing but 20 potatoes every day for 60 days and claims to have lost weight and seen his cholesterol level drop, despite health warnings. |

The program, called Secure Flight, has been delayed for years because of privacy concerns, and went through three versions before it was approved.
