Those North Korean entities trade in conventional arms or luxury products, counterfeit currency or engage in money laundering, drug smuggling or other "illicit" activities. |

The mix-up is all because of a mistranslation in his interview with a major British football magazine. Okada recalled he had told the magazine before the World Cup in South Africa that he would leave his job to lead a life typified by a Japanese idiom which means "till the land when it shines and read books when it rains." The lifestyle has been idealized by intellectual recluses, but the idiom itself has been expanded to mean a life free from worldly affairs. The magazine quoted Okada as saying he would retire to become a "farmer." As a result, he had received agricultural job offers from a banana plant in the sub-tropical island of Okinawa and the mayor of a town on the northern island of Hokkaido, Okada said. Okada's contract as Japan coach expires on August 31. His replacement is yet to be hired. |

Alain Robert, known for climbing some of the world's tallest and best-known buildings without ropes or other equipment, was arrested at the top of the Lumiere building downtown. He climbed it in about 20 minutes, as dozens of people watched from below. Last year, Robert was fined US$670 for illegally climbing the 41-story Royal Bank of Scotland building in Sydney. |
