Hu Jintao then went to a downtown primary school, which takes in both domestic and foreign students. Over the last half century, more than four thousand children from over 150 countries have studied in the school. Nearly half of its students are from other countries.

Hu Jintao went into a Chinese lesson. He was pleased to see the students are picking up Chinese very well.

And in another class on science, Hu Jintao encouraged students to be more interested in science, saying the knowledge will help them a lot in their future.

The school has put a lot of efforts in teaching its children about traditional Chinese culture. Children there have learned a lot about China and the Chinese culture while having fun.

Chinese President Hu said, "You are the hope of the future, no matter which country you are from. I hope you will help each other, improve together, and make the world a better place when you grow up. "

With hopes from the leaders and support from the government, these children may have a bright future ahead.
