Both China and the UK have achieved some notable results. Highlights include the first International Conference on Social Innovation in October 2006, the social enterprise study visit to the UK in the summer of 2007, the publication of Social Enterprise Overview: A UK and China Perspective, two documentaries co-produced with Beijing TV, and many others.

The British Council has been working to promote social innovation in China in recent years in the strong belief that social innovation is crucial in meeting social demands and tackling social problems.
