China's leading auto logistics firm, a joint venture with a registered capital of US$30 million, opened on Wednesday in Shanghai.
The joint venture, Anji-TNT Automotive Logistics Co., brings together the Shanghai Automotive Sales Co. under the Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation Group, and TNT Logistics Holding Co, a subsidiary of TPG, a European logistics and mail services provider.
The joint venture will provide such services as management consultancy, training, storage and transportation for major auto makers in China, including Shanghai Volkswagen and Shanghai GM.
Hu Maoyuan, president of the Shanghai Automotive Industry Corp. Group, said their specialized services will help auto companies reduce distribution costs, increase efficiency and improve market competitiveness.
