Top-end automaker Royce and Bentley Motor Cars Limited made a stir in Shanghai on March 24, when it announced the unveiling of two of its luxury models at its local office, Bentley Shanghai.
One was a Silver Seraph model, priced at 4 million yuan (US$480,000), the other a Bentley (red label), priced at 3.9 million yuan (US$470,000).
Only 170 of the Silver Seraphs will be built worldwide, the automaker announced. This limited number gives aficionados of the famous marque from around the world a chance to invest in the last Rolls-Royce saloons, an official from the local office said.
The official said the luxury car maker plans to sell 30 Rolls-Royce saloons and 20 Bentley series cars on the Chinese mainland, including 8 in Shanghai, this year.
Royce and Bentley Motor Cars Limited has another representative office in Shenzhen.
