No disease outbreaks in Mianyang

School has reopened in Beichuan County for senior students who survived the earthquake. Teachers who lived through the disaster are back in class, inside newly erected tent schools.

Water supply in Dujiangyan irrigated area restored
The city of Dujiangyan, in Sichuan, boasts a famous irrigation system, which is the largest of its kind in China. Much of the area's irrigation equipment was severely damaged in the quake. But after 11 days of repairs, the water supply was restored today.
Quake-ravaged roads to be cleared
The earthquake has caused many roads in Sichuan collapsed. 24 towns are still difficult to access due to the damage of the roadway. Transport agency is busy drafting plans to cope with the situation.
All survivors in Gengda relocated by helicopters
The Gengda Township, only 23 kilometers away from the epicenter, was completely cut off from the outside world after the earthquake. After being trapped for 10 days, all the survivors were airlifted to safety by PLA soldiers.
