Hangzhou

Hangzhou is the capital of Zhejiang Province and the political, economic, scientific, educational and cultural center of the province. Hangzhou has a history of over 2,200 years; the first county administration was established in Hangzhou during the Qin Dynasty (221–206 B.C.). Hangzhou is one of the most important cities in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River Delta and is a hub of transportation in southeast China.

West Lake is the pride of Hangzhou, and a favorite spot to escape the hustle and bustle of urban life

Hangzhou is particularly well known for its tourism and manufacturing. The light industry sector of Hangzhou is the best of its kind in China, and many other industries, such as animation and new energy, also call Hangzhou home.

The economy of Hangzhou is well developed. Since the implementation of the policy of reform and opening up in 1978, Hangzhou has made significant progress in developing its foreign economic relations and trade.
