Six mountain climbers were killed in an avalanche in the Austrian Alps at the weekend. Officials say rescuers could not reach the scene until Sunday due to bad weather.
The climbers had been ascending the 3,500-meter Schalfkogel peak in an isolated region southwest of Innsbruck. Rescue workers retrieved the bodies of the six climbers.
The only survivor in the group is a Czech man. It is believed the victims were all from the Czech Republic.
