Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao has met with World Bank President, Robert Zoellick, in Beijing. Zoellick was on a four-day visit to China at the invitation of the Ministry of Finance.
Wen Jiabao discussed China's current economic situation with Zoellick, along with measures taken to deal with global financial crisis.

Premier Wen said China is currently trying to increase domestic consumption to boost the economy. He said efforts have also been taken in infrastructure, medical services, and environmental protection.
Zoellick praised Chinese government measures, saying the growth of China's economy plays a key role in stabilizing the world economy. He said the World Bank is willing to help developing countries in various fields, including finance and employment.
