| Selina Jen, a member of Taiwan's popular pop group S.H.E., was flown back to Taiwan on Sunday after sustaining serious burns while shooting a TV drama series on Chinese mainland over the weekend, AFP reports. The accident took place when explosives went off earlier than planned on the production set. Jen arrived in Taipei late in the day on a chartered flight from Shanghai. Her father said she was in stable condition but that it might take her months to recover. The pop star suffered third-degree burns on about 40% of her body. |

| Women with blood type O could have more trouble conceiving as they age, a new survey claims, the Daily Mail reported. The study is the first to suggest that a woman's blood group could influence her chances of getting pregnant. Researchers from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York who tested a group of women seeking fertility treatment found those with the blood type O appeared to have a lower egg count and poorer egg quality than others. By contrast those with blood type A seemed to have more and better quality eggs. The findings could lead to women with type O blood being advised to try for a baby earlier, but experts said more research was needed. |

The quake is believed to be an aftershock of the 8.0-magnitude Wenchuan earthquake that happened two years ago. No casualties have been reported as of midday. On Sunday afternoon, a magnitude-4.7 quake hit Henan Province, leveling 24 houses and leaving 12 students injured. |
