The Siemens Company of Germany, an electronic giant in the world, has invested over one billion German marks throughout China, with investment expected to rise steadily.
An executive of the company said here that Siemens has greatly expanded its business in China in the sectors such as information, communications, energy construction and industrial automation.
The executive said Siemens’ GSM system covers almost all provinces in China. Since September, Siemens has ranked among the top three in China in terms of mobile telephone turnover.
Siemens is the biggest supplier of imported equipment for Chinese power stations, as well as a major provider of the various automation products to Chinese customers.
To date, it has set up 50 subsidiary companies and 27 regional offices all over the country, employing 20,000 people.
