Australian Offers Poverty-relief, Vocational Training in China
A vocational training and poverty-relief project funded by the Australian government was launched Wednesday in Chongqing in southwest China.

Australia will spend 19.42 million Australian dollars in the coming five years and send experts to the city to upgrade local vocational training and improve quality-oriented supervision and evaluation mechanisms.

The poverty-relief plan with nearly 21.2 million Australian dollars will involve a four-year rebuilding of infrastructure facilities in some ethnic minority habitats in Chongqing and help for local residents to explore more careers to shake off destitution.

The project is the largest single aid project by the Australian government in China.
