Asia Cement Corp plans to set up a total of five cement plants in China over the next ten years, the Commercial Times reported citing company president KY Lee.
Lee said each cement plant will require a minimum investment of NT$2.0 billion (US$57.08 million) while the company will have to invest an additional NT$10.0 billion (US$285.39 million) for cement sites in the mainland.
Upon establishment of the plants in China, the company's combined production in Taiwan and the mainland will reach 25 million metric tones a year, he said.
