US-based Company Sets Up IC Firm in Shanghai
The United States-based Integrated Silicon Solution, Inc. (ISSI) has recently set up a company here to design, manufacture and market cutting-edge integrated circuit storage products.

The company, called Xingcheng Semiconductor (Shanghai) Co, was

established with an investment of 10 million U.S. dollars from the U.S. company which is listed on the Nasdaq and based in Silicon Valley in the United States.

Xingcheng Semiconductor (Shanghai) Co is located in Zhangjiang

High-Tech Park in the Pudong New District in Shanghai.

The integrated circuit industry has been chosen by the park and

the central Chinese government as one of its priority development areas.

Nearly 70 IC firms have been set up, with a total investment of

nearly 4 billion U.S. dollars.

According to the high-tech park's development program , it will

become the biggest IC production center in Asia in the future with about 10 IC production lines and 200 IC designing firms.
