Some 300 companies from China, Italy, Germany, Japan, France, and other countries are participating in the exposition and have their shoes, materials, and machinery on display in over 1,000 booths.

The exhibition includes seven parts including finished shoes, shoe materials, shoe manufacturing technology, shoe-making machinery and investment promotion.

Jinjiang, in east China's Fujian Province, has a lot of shoe manufacturers which play a pillar role in local economic development. Last year, the output value of the shoe manufacturing industry accounted for 18 percent of the city's total industrial output value.
