China's oil town, Daqing, and Houston of the United States have signed an agreement on educational cooperation.
According to the agreement, each city will select a key high school to form a pair, which will exchange teachers and students regularly.
Located in the southeast of northeast China's Heilongjiang province, Daqing is a leading oil and chemical base. It has produced 1.6 billion tons of crude oil over 40 years.
Daqing is aiming to upgrade its industrial structure by cultivating new industries such as electronics and building materials.
