A set of four special stamps on the theme of corals was jointly issued by Hongkong Post and Canada Post Sunday.

This is the third time Hongkong Post has jointly issued stamps with an overseas postal administration, said P. C. Luk, postmaster general of Hong Kong.

Australia and Singapore had jointly issued stamps with Hong Kong in 2001 and 1999, respectively.

Luk said he hoped that this special stamp issue can further enhance the interaction of business and cultural exchange between Hong Kong and Canada.

Andre Ouellet, president and chief executive officer of Canada Post, who came to Hong Kong for the stamp issuing ceremony, said an issuing ceremony was also held Sunday in Vancouver, Canada, with the presence of a Hongkong Post senior official.
