Sino-US Educational Program Kicks off in NC

An annual Sino-US educational exchange program got underway on Wednesday as a delegation of faculty and students from Fudan University in Shanghai, headed by vice president Sun Laixiang, arrived in Boone, in the state of North Carolina (NC).

The William R. Holland Fellows Program between Appalachian State University (ASU) and Fudan University provides an opportunity for students from the two countries to get together in classes and project assignments on Harvard case studies as a way of learning about international business practices.

During the program, student groups from ASU's Walker College and Fudan's School of Management and School of Economics will attend the Harland E. Boyles Distinguished CEO Lecture and other lectures, visit factories, join project sessions and give presentations.

As a part of the program from April 3 to 18, the Fudan delegation will also visit ASU's campus in the Blue Ridge Mountains, tour around major cities in NC and Washington D.C., attend concerts and watch a basketball game.
