A total of 350 Chinese enterprises are involved in the research, development and production of products for the security of computer information systems, and the number of their products exceeds 500, sources said Tuesday.

Sources with an ongoing fair on the Security of Computer Information Systems said more varieties of products have been developed in China and some of them have reached a level similar to foreign-made items.

The 3rd International Expo on the Security of Computer Information Systems, approved by the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Science and Technology, is now being held in Beijing.

Some 60 manufacturers of information system security products from the United States, Germany, the Republic of Korea, Singapore and China are at the fair, exchanging views on network security solutions, construction of IP security platforms and anti-virus strategies in a wide-band environment.
