U.S. Real Estate Firm Eyes China
U.S.-based property service provider Cushman & Wakefield Inc. said yesterday that Shanghai and Beijing will be the focus of part of its global strategy as it bets on the potential of China's property market.

"The local real estate market is recovering more quickly than others," Arthur Mirante, chief executive officer and president with Cushman & Wakefield, said on his first trip to the city. The firm held its board meeting for the first time in Shanghai this week. Meanwhile, Cushman & Wakefield announced it will market the new 38-story office building, United Plaza, on Nanjing Road W., said Dyfed Evans, managing director with the company's Shanghai branch.

Most of Cushman & Wakefield's clients are multinationals.
