A Japanese agricultural delegation arrived in this capital of southwest China's Guizhou Province Tuesday to explore bilateral cooperation.
The seven-member delegation is headed by Kouhei Matsunaga, general manager of the Fertilizer and Pesticide Department of Zen- Noh, a national organization for Japanese farmers.
The visitors will discuss the possibilities of cooperation with Asia's largest phosphate fertilizer production base, located in the province.
It is learned that Zen-Noh has its own bank, foreign trade companies, a port and a fleet of ships, as well as agricultural factories worldwide with an annual business volume of up to 50 billion U.S. dollars-worth. Zen-Noh, as one of Guizhou's major trade partners, started purchasing phosphate fertilizer from the province in 1992, and its annual purchase now amounts to millions of U.S. dollars-worth.
