The Red Cross Society of China (RCSC) announced Thursday that it has donated US$20,000 to Indonesia to help the relief work after a disastrous flood hit some places of the country recently.

Sources from the RCSC said that torrential rainstorms and flooding occurred in some areas in Sumatra and Java in late October, leaving tens of thousands of people homeless.
