Commemorative Coin Issued for Game Bidding Success

The PBOC said that the obverse design of the silver coin composes the name of China, the year of 2001, colored symbol for bidding the Games, gilded letter "V" and mass gymnastics; while the reverse design bears the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests in the Temple of Heaven, Chinese characters of "celebrating Beijing's successful bidding of the Olympic Games" and the denomination.

The coin is made of one ounce of pure silver, round shaped with a diameter of 40 mm and a denomination of 10 yuan. The issuing volume is 60,000.
