More than 10,000 people in Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Guangzhou and some other large Chinese cities will participate in a worldwide sleep survey on March 21, the World Sleep Day.
The program will be an important part of a simultaneous survey to be carried out in over 20 countries and regions. The survey aims to collect scientific information about people's sleep patterns and the problem of insomnia.
It will make a study of the sleep patterns of 50,000 subjects worldwide. Each participant in the survey will answer written questions about his or her work, sleep habits, hypnotherapy and regular sleeping pattern including time, duration and snooze frequency.
The survey will be jointly sponsored by the International Foundation for Mental Health and Neuro-Science, with the support of the Chinese Medical Association and the Sanofi - Synthelabo Corp. of France.
