The new joint venture, Sanderson Bedlinen (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., will produce textile products in accordance with designs provided by the Sanderson company.

British-based Sanderson will offer at least 40 designs for the joint venture annually, sources said.

The Sanderson will also set marking, tinting and packaging requirements.

Established in 1860, Sanderson is famous for interior decoration and design. Its products, which cover materials for exterior decoration, wallpaper, bedding, curtains, carpet, sofa and paint, are well sold in more than 70 countries.

Shanghai Minguang Sheets Plant is a major textile producer in China. The per capita pre-tax profit of the plant has ranked the first among China's textile enterprises for 13 consecutive years.
