The number of approved overseas-invested ventures in China during the first seven months this year reached 11,981, a rise of 26.93 percent over the year-earlier period, according to sources from the Ministry of Overseas Trade and Economic Cooperation (Moftec).
To date, overseas investors have set up 353,704 ventures in China, injecting more than US$327.7 billion among the over
US$641.7 billion promised capital.
From January to July this year, the contractual overseas
investment topped US$27.6 billion, increasing 24.04 percent over
the same period last year. Among them, US$19.9 billion were put
into use, a drop of 7.41 percent.
In July alone, 1,791 overseas-invested ventures were approved,
20.18 percent more over the year-earlier period. A total of
US$2.73 billion were invested -- a decrease of 6.61 percent --among the contractual capital at US$3.47 billion, with a rise of 36.02 percent over last July.
