Egypt's former tourism minister sentenced to 5 years in jail

Egypt's former Tourism Minister Zuheir Garranah was sentenced to five years in jail on Tuesday, state TV said.

Garranah, who became the second senior official from the former government during the rule of ex-President Hosni Mubarak, was found guilty of issuing licenses for tourism companies illegally.

On May 5, Egypt's former Interior Minister Habib Ibrahim el- Adli was sentenced to 12 years in jail over money laundering and embezzlement.
