At least five people were killed and 15 others injured in a car bomb explosion in Baghdad northern neighborhood of Adhamiyah on Sunday, an Interior Ministry source said.

The incident took place in the evening when a booby-trapped car parked near a play station shop which use to be crowded with children and young men at this time, the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
Ambulances and civilian cars transported the victims to nearby hospitals, while Iraqi security forces cordoned off the areas to secure the scene, the source said.
Sporadic attacks continue in Iraq as part of recent deterioration in security which foiled the efforts of the Iraqi government to restore normalcy in the country after more than three months of US troops' pullout of Iraqi cities and towns.
