China's top legislator Wu Bangguo has arrived in Phoenix, Arizona to begin his official visit to the United States. The visit marks the final leg of his three-nation North American tour.

Wu Bangguo will visit Washington on Tuesday, meeting US President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. He will hold talks with Nancy Pelosi, the Speaker of the US House of Representatives. In a written statement released at the airport upon his arrival, Wu said the purpose of his visit is to further implement Chinese President Hu Jintao and President Obama's consensus to push forward positive and comprehensive Sino-American ties.
