A two-day musical storm stirred by a French music festival has blown through Wuhan, the capital of Hubei province. The weekend saw the city in excitement over its third music festival.
For two days, a range of performances kept Wuhan jumping. More than 20 French and local bands and all types of music - from classical to rap, jazz to metal. French Band P-U-S-S kicked off the festival and later on staged a show at a local bar. They thanked the people of Wuhan for their enthusiastic reception and an unforgettable experience.
We have performed many times in Europe, yet in Wuhan, this is the first time. We are so excited to find Wuhan people are super enthusiastic, and we are very proud to bring happiness to everyone, coz music is without borders.
The Yangtze Summer nights were drenched in limelight and song. Noted composer Yann Tierson, who wrote the score for the movie "Amelie from Montmartre" rang down the curtain.
Wuhan is the only city in China to hold the event outdoors. French ambassador to China Herve Ladsous sent his congratulations via the big screen, and the consul general said he expressed his pleasure at the huge turnout of amateur and professional musicians alike.
