Right from the beginning of the competition, it seemed that no team were able to get in the way of Barcelona. They got their campaign started by travelling to Switzerland and beating Basel 5-0.
It was another 5 goal haul for Barca in the next round, when they beat SCP Lisbon 5-2.
In the knockout stages, faced up to French powerhouses Olympique Lyonnais, who they brushed off 5-2 to move into the quarter-final.
Barca then Bayern Munich, taking only 45 mins to score four goals against the German giants. Up till that point, the Catalans hadn't faced any real hurdles.
The real challenge came from London side Chelsea in the semi-final, which saw the first round finish in a goalless draw. In the return leg, Andres Iniesta's spectacular strike deep into injury time ended Chelsea's European dreams, setting up a meeting with Manchester United in the final.
