BMW Sauber's F1.09 has been improved dramatically for the new season. Robert Kubica had one win and is expected to win more this year.
The Renault R29 has performed reasonably in testing.Both former world champion Fernando Alonso and Nelson Piquet junior are retained as drivers.
Toyota's TF109 was launched early and showed well in pre-season testing. Jarno Trulli and Timo Glock are retained from last year.
Toro Rosso's STR4 appeared well after most other teams' cars and showed towards the back of the field.
Williams's car has proved quick, setting the fastest time of all on the last day of Jerez testing.
Nico Rosberg of Williams said, "I look forward to using some of the new systems during this year, especially the KERS for example, hit the button and you get a boost all of a sudden, well it's not going to be like that, but still it's a big increase in power so that should be very interesting,"
Red Bull Racing's RB5 is a neat design. Testing showed it running in the mid-field, and importantly ahead of sister team Toro Rosso.
