Sent an embarrassing, or downright rude email? Accidentally copied your boss on a juicy piece of office gossip? Or simply done the usual trick of sending your monthly report out minus the attachment?
Office death looms. Panic sets in. Your instinct tells you to start looking at job vacancies.
Never fear – help is at hand. So long as you are quick thinking and nimble fingered enough to handle your "oops moment" within 5 seconds, Google mail’s new undo send feature may just save your neck.
Michael Leggett, Gmail’s user experience designer said, "Everyone's experienced those moments where you send a message and immediately see some kind of mistake and want to get it back before it actually reaches everybody else’s inbox. We are giving you a few moments window to click undo and get the message back before it actually gets sent."
"Undo send" is currently available only in a beta test release as part of Google Labs.
