The third trailer of animation film 'Astro Boy' is released online on Wednesday.
The computer-animated 3-D film is adapted from the successful namesake cartoon franchise by Japanese animator Osamu Tezuka.
Directed by 'Flushed Away' director David Bowers, the film sets its story in a futuristic city where Astro Boy, a robot with incredible powers, is created by a brilliant scientist in the image of the son he has lost.
The film features the voices of Freddie Highmore (Astro Boy), Kristen Bell, Nathan Lane, Eugene Levy, Matt Lucas, Bill Nighy, Donald Sutherland and Nicolas Cage (Astro's father).
Astro Boy, a original comic book by Japanese cartoonist Osamu Tezuka, was first published in 1952. It was made into TV cartoon
series in 1963 and became unexpectedly successful throughout the world.
As the first cartoon series ever introduced to China, it was aired on China's state televison in 1980 and was highly received.
The film will hit cinemas on October 23.
