Qinghai province in northwestern China is also enjoying a travel boom. Since the spring festival, the province has welcomed 200-thousand visitors, up 10 percent on the same period last year. Tourism revenue has reached 100 million yuan, up almost 30 percent. Taer Temple, a famous religious site, has received twenty thousand visitors.
One traveller from Guangdong province said "The climate here is very good. It has been warm in the past two days. I want to see the religious culture here."
In Xinin, the capital of Qinghai, ice sculptures and colorful lanterns are attracting many visitors. More than 50 thousand people have visited since the spring festival began, with ticket revenue at 400 thousand yuan, four times more than that of last year.
