The Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip have caused extensive damage throughout the territory. The Coastal Municipality Water Utilities provider of Gaza City announced on Saturday it could not continue its services there.
Ibrahim Alezla, Spokesman of Coastal Municipality Water Utilities, said: "The Coastal Municipality Water Utilities...in terms of collection and discharging."
The United Nations estimates two-thirds of Gaza's 1.4 million people are without electricity and half don't have running water. Meanwhile, supplies and ambulances were entering Gaza through the Rafah crossing at the border between Egypt and Gaza. The Israeli military announced a 3-hour halt in operations on Saturday to let people leave their homes and stock up supplies. But aid groups say there just isn't enough time to do their work.
