According to a monthly survey by China Index Academy, which tracks changes in home prices in 100 Chinese cities, the average price of residential homes in August is 8,880 yuan (US$1,391) per square meter, almost equal to last month.
Among the 100 cities surveyed, Shenzhen topped the list with the highest home prices at 25,687 yuan (US$4,025) per square meter in August, followed by Shanghai at 23,826 yuan (US$3,734), Beijing at 22,953 yuan (US$3,597).
