Atletico-PR wins first road game of Brazilian Championship

Visiting Goias in the 11th round of the Brazilian Championship, Atletico-PR won 2-0 for the team's first road win in this year's tournament.
Bruno Costa centered the ball to a wide open Manoel who headed the ball into the net in the 27th minute. As the game was winding down, the team sealed their victory in the 80th minute when Maikon Leite dribbled through the Goias defense and slammed an angled shot into the left corner of the goal.
The win improves Atletico-PR's standing to 12th place with 13 points. In the 12th round of play, the team will look to win their second straight road win against Fluminense on July 31.
Goias falls to 16th place with 12 points. In the next round of play, the team will travel to play Avai on August 1. Head coach Emerson Leao has suffered a disappointing five losses since he took command of the team in May.
