The South Korean government is seeking to have Korean traditional kimchi and kimchi culture listed by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, The Korea Joongang Daily reported.

South Koreans are invited to vote on such issues and offer photos on kimchi culture to the authority.

The formal application will be submitted before March 31.
