A device that camouflages the whirr of the dentist's drill could take the fear out of getting your teeth treated, the Daily Telegraph reported.

The device plugs into an MP3 or mobile phone and uses a filtering technique to cancel out the high pitched buzz of the drill -- but still allows the patient to listen to music and hear what the dentist is saying.

牙钻消声 看牙医不再恐惧

       英国《每日电讯报》消息，研究人员发明的一种新设备可以掩盖牙医手中牙钻发出的噪音，从而让人们摆脱看牙医的恐惧心理。

       这种设备可以与MP3或者手机连接，并且通过一种过滤技术把牙钻发出的高分贝嗡嗡声消除掉；同时，病人还可以听音乐，也能听到牙医说的话。

       研究发现，对很多人来讲，他们看牙医时最大的恐惧来自牙钻发出的声音。研究人员期望这个设备可以鼓励更多的人去看牙医，让牙齿得到必要的治疗。
