Working mother: A report claims many women do not aspite to balancing a career with raising a family |

A survey shows that most women still prefer to marry a man who earns more money than they do and would stay at home with their children if they could afford it, the Daily Mail reports.
Despite years of equality campaigns and advances for women in the workplace, 64 percent said they aspire to find a husband who brings home a larger paycheck than they do. None wanted to marry a man who earned less. And 69 percent said they would prefer to stay at home to look after their children if money were not an issue. Only 19 percent wanted their other half to be better educated than they were. Instead, 62 percent said they wanted a man to have the same level of intellect. (点击《每日邮报》查看原文)

在多年争取下,女性在工作中的地位有所提高,基本与男人平等,但依然有64%的女人希望找到一个比自己收入高、能挣钱的老公。没有一个女人希望嫁给一无所有的男人。69%的女人更愿意呆在家里相夫教子,过着衣食无忧的生活。只有19%的女性要求另一半学历比自己高,而62%的女人要求与另一半有同等的教育背景。 |
