| A couple Henry Kerr, 97, and Valerie Berkowitz, 87, married at their nursing home Sunday - proving it is never too late to find true love, the Daily Mail reported. They fell in love when Valerie joined Henry's poetry reading circle. Both have been married before - Valerie for more than 70 years and Henry for more than 60 years. Both have children who live in the U.S. With a combined age of 184, they are believed to be Britain's oldest newlyweds. Britain's previous oldest couple to get married had a combined age of 181 and wed last year. |

| The world's first full face transplant recipient, identified only as Oscar, appeared in public for the first time at a press conference held at a Spanish hospital on Monday, TVNZ reported. The 31-year-old farmer accidentally shot himself in the face five years ago. He underwent the 24-hour operation at Barcelona's University Hospital Vall d'Hebron in March. Surgeons lifted the donor's face and attached the entire face to Oscar's, complete with muscles, jaw, nose, cheek bones, teeth and eyelids. Oscar will need at least a year of facial therapy, but is expected to regain up to 90% function of his new face. |

"We're 50 million pounds down on the original budget we had in 2006," says Peter Keen - that fund was 600 million. He notes that priority would be given to sports with a reasonable chance of winning medals, such as cycling, rowing, sailing and swimming. |
