中国上半年宏观经济数据近日出炉。在拉动经济的三驾马车中，投资有所回落，消费保持了较高增速，而受金融危机冲击最大的净出口则实现了快速恢复性增长。有关部门表示，下半年经济运行中还有不稳定因素存在，但不存在经济大幅下滑和二次探底的风险。

       China's top industrial regulator said on Tuesday that the country is unlikely to see a "double dip" in its economy in the second half of this year.

       中国最高产业监管机构本周二表示，今年下半年，我国不太可能出现经济“二次探底”的情况。

       China's central bank may allow the yuan to fall against the dollar if necessary, a central bank advisor was quoted as saying by a Japanese newspaper Wednesday.

       China shows no signs of a double-dip, "but now that there is flexibility in the yuan, the exchange rate of the currency will decline if it becomes necessary to support exports," Zhou Qiren, a member of the Monetary Policy Committee of the People's Bank of China (PBC), told Asahi Shimbun.

       文中的double dip就是指“二次探底”，也称为double dip recession（双谷衰退）。在经济衰退之后，如果出现持续性复苏，则称为V型反弹或者U型复苏，而如果经济衰退出现反复，则被称为W型震荡，也就是double dip。但如果经济陷入困境，则被称为L型停滞。

       上面几种复苏走势中，经济衰退出现最低点，则被称为“筑底”。这里的“底”也就是dip。Dip通常指暂时的“减少、下降、衰退”，或者“凹陷处，低洼处”。

       此外，double-dip还可以用来指“双份蛋卷冰淇淋”，或者“（从不同地方）双重支薪，尤指政府雇员同时支领退伍军人薪饷者。”
