Spanish Queen Visits Beijing Children Care Center
Queen Sofia of Spain donated 72, 700 euros to Beijing Children Care Center Friday to finance a project to treat children suffering from paralysis caused by brain damage.

The project was jointly initiated by the Spanish International Cooperation Department and Beijing Children Care Center and will be launched soon.

The Spanish International Cooperation Department chooses to help handicapped children for promoting equality and participation of all people according to Spanish State Secretary for International Cooperation Miguel Angel Cortes at the donation ceremony.

Li Xinjing, deputy-director of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Civil Affairs, expressed his thanks to the queen and said the donation would be used to finance the treatment of 30 paralyzed children at the center.
