Government Departments Urged to Study Thoughts of Three Represents
All central government departments should make proper arrangements in line with the directives issued by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) to initiate a new round of study of the important thoughts of the Three Represents, said State Councilor Hua Jianmin at a working conference Monday.

It is of vital importance to understand the historical context of the thoughts through applying the thoughts to the current task of building a well-off Chinese society. The central government departments should take the lead in the meditation campaign, said the official.

All departments must re-organize work in order to organize study activities, said Hua, who encouraged senior officials at different levels to become outstanding model students.

The purpose of studying the theory is to be able to apply it to real-life problems in daily work. Currently, implementation of the thoughts is being applied to the task of controlling the situation of the severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) and to promote economic construction, Hua said.
