The General Office of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee Wednesday published a circular urging all CPC members to study a compilation of Jiang Zemin on Socialism with China's Characteristics.
The circular was jointly issued by the Organization and the Publicity Departments of the CPC Central Committee.
The book, published recently, is a collection of over 370 speeches, articles, letters and written instructions by Jiang during the period from June 1989-June 2002.
The circular describes the work as a compilation of Jiang's new thinking, new views and new theses based on his analysis of major domestic and international trends and events. In addition, the work summarizes China's abundant experiences in the process of reform and opening-up and in the socialist modernization drive.
