Fashion-goers can enjoy high-end foreign commodities at lower prices as more discount shops of foreign commodities will open in Shanghai,the sina.com.cn reported today.
Discount Shop,popular in developed countries,as a new business mode,is introduced in Shanghai.Shanghai Lianhua Supermarket Co is discussing with the Economic and Trade Commission of the Huangpu District to rebuild the Central Shopping Center into a discount shop.The Frienship Shop,located in the Bund of the Beijing Road E.,opened the first discount shop of the city on its sixth floor,boasting more than 10,000 varieties of commodities.The high-end brands such as ELLE,FENDI,CD,ADIDAS,and BENETON were sold by 30-90 percent off there at the trial-opening period.
The leather bags or shoes originally imported from France,Italia and Spain,with more fashionable styles than those sold in the domestic market,offered 70 percent discount in the shop.
More consumers crowded into the discount shop,and three young ladies bought up to 8,000yuan (US$ 964)worth of imported commodities there."The commodities are more fashionable than other places while the prices reach no more than half of the market prices,"said one lady.Such discount shops are different from the common liquidation.They buy over a batch of imported commodities and lower the purchase prices,said a market analyst.Most of the commodities are directly ordered from the producers,so they needn't pay much to the intermediary agencies,which can save more money for them the analyst said.
