Luogang International Airport in Hefei, capital of east China's Anhui Province, was reopened to air traffic Friday morning, after being closed Thursday afternoon due to heavy snow.
It began snowing early Thursday and the snow is now 14 cm thick, the highest level in this winter in the city.
Four domestic flights were canceled and another three could not land because of the thick layer of snow at the airport.
The snow will last till January 20, according to local meteorological bureau.
