World's Biggest Man-Made Waterfall Being Built

Lijiang Hotel in the southern China scenic city of Guilin is building a huge glass wall with water rushing down from the top to make the biggest artificial waterfall in today's world.

Construction of the glass wall, 76 meters wide by 42 meters high, started in mid May and is expected to be completed in late September, said Guan Yueming, general manager of the hotel.

The man-made scene will be opened to visitors in October, and the hotel wants it to be included in the Guinness World Book of Records, he said.

Guilin, with a history of more than 2,000 years, is famous for its green mountains, clear water and strangely shaped stone formations.
